The Digital Arts Center LAB


The Digital Arts Center Lab (DAC_LAB) is a multi-space for collaboration and exploration, where students from all the different departments can work on their assignments and projects, get help from specialized tutors, and work with the machines and software that they use in their classes.

Please bring your headphones to work at the LAB.

You and your group may use the following spaces outside of scheduled class times:

    • A-174B (Mac Lab) – Available for general coursework and group work.

    • A-174 (High-End PC Lab) – Ideal for 3D Animation and students working with the Unreal Engine. Available when no class is in session.

    • A-173 – Great for graphic design projects, printing, construction work, or meeting with a small group at the work table.

    • A-172 (Sound Lab) – Sound students may request access from the LTA at the front desk when there is no class scheduled to start within the next hour.

    • A-171 – May be available for Graphic Design projects. Please speak with the LTA or the Graphic Design department chair for access.

Classrooms

  • A_171 (mac classroom) Hub for Graphic Design
  • A_172 (mac classroom) Projection system for video editing, compositing, and color-correction
  • A_173 (mac classroom) Works as DAC-LAB space until 5pm.
  • A_174 (pc classroom) High end PCs. Autodesk Maya and UnReal engine installed. Open also as LAB.

Open Lab

  • A_174-b (main lab space). You enter A_174 Classrrom from there.
  • A_173 (mac lab with 2 PC stations). Printers for graphic design.
  • A_174 (PC lab and classroom)
  • All classrooms, with previous arrangement
